GED Diploma = High School  Diploma

The GED exam is equivalent to a regular high school diploma.

The GED exam is administered by the State Department of Education.

The GED Exam includes five areas:

  • Mathematics
  • Writing
  • Social Studies
  • Science
  • Reading

GED classes are available to assist students in any weakness he or she has before taking the test.

GED applications are available in the Adult Education Office.

  • Must be 17-21 years old

  • Must qualify based on TABE Assessment

  • Must complete a three to four week class

  • Must pass an Official GED Practice Exam

 

Study at home with GED Online

Requirements:

  • Complete a placement test and orientation session
  • Sign a contract and pay $50.00 fee
  • Must have at least Windows 98 and Internet
  • Must have minimum score on TABE assessment
  • Agree to a minimum hours per week requirement
