Arrival/Dissmissal Procedures

Morning Drop-Off Procedures

Students may be dropped off at school beginning at 7:15 a.m. Students arriving to school prior to 7:50 a.m. will be supervised in one of the morning waiting areas. Students are expected to study, read, or work on something quietly during this time. Kindergarten and first grade students may be dropped off at the cafeteria entrance between 7:15-7:55 a.m. Students in grades 2-5 may be dropped off at the gymnasium. Parents are reminded to be alert and respectful of other parents who are dropping off their children.

*For safety reasons, please use only one lane of traffic when dropping off students.

Students are picked up by their teacher from the gymnasium at 7:50 to begin reporting to class for their instructional day. The gym doors are locked at 7:55 a.m. Students arriving between 7:55 and 7:59 a.m. should be dropped off at the cafeteria entrance on Corinth Road. The tardy bell rings at 8:00 a.m. Students arriving at 8:00 a.m. or later should be brought in the front door and must be signed in at the office to receive an admission slip.

*Please note: the instructional day begins at 8:00 a.m. If your child is tardy, they will miss morning instruction and morning work.

Afternoon Pick-up Procedures

Kindergarten and first grade students are dismissed from the cafeteria at 2:25 p.m. Second, third, fourth, and fifth grade students are dismissed from the carport on the Highway 18 side of the building at 2:25 p.m. Older students riding with younger students will be dismissed with the younger child at the appropriate location.
