VARSITY GIRLS HOOPS! The Lady Indians enter the 2008-2009 campaign looking to build upon the progress made last season. Last year's squad improved its record over the previous year finishing 8-13 overall and 5th in region play. This year's Lady Indians will look to improve even more with thoughts of a .500 record in mind and with a strong nucleus of returning players that should make this season as solid and cohesive a group as Gaffney has ever seen. Stacey Parris enters her second season as head girls basketball coach having completed her first season at the helm of the Lady Indian Program. "We did a lot of work this spring and summer, I'm very proud of the commitment from our players to work hard in the off season,” said Parris. " And I'm very happy with the development and maturity of our junior class." Coach Stacey Parris With no returning seniors leadership is something Coach Parris will be expecting from the seven returning juniors this season to help with the transition as Gaffney prepares to move into Region III 4A to compete this season. The Hoop Club (Girls Basketball Booster Club) The Hoop Club is a nonprofit organization formed for the
purpose of assisting in and enhancing the athletic programs sponsored
by Gaffney High School. The Booster Club shall strive to indirectly
enhance the educational environment of all girl basketball players
by supporting and supplementing the schools athletic department
budget when and where necessary. Our goals as an organization include

TRY OUTS Little Lady Indian Hoopers 4th Grade- 12 under/ 6th Grade Girls February 24th- 26th 6:00pm Current Grade or Age as of July 1, 2009 Tryouts will be held @ The Hoop Club is a non-profit organization formed for the purpose of assisting in and enhancing the athletic programs sponsored by the Cherokee County School District. This youth basketball program is dedicated to providing opportunities for girls ages nine through eighteen to play organized basketball at a very competitive and challenging level. The Hoop League offers: Traveling Teams, Team & Individual Training, and Fundamental Camp Sessions. The Hoop Club is a competitive basketball program and
team members must try out for roster positions on one of the traveling
teams. Teams may also be elected by invitation only. Players trying
out for our program must be students currently enrolled with in
the Cherokee County School District in Gaffney, SC.
