MEET THE GMS GUIDANCE DEPARTMENT MEMBERS
Mrs. Patterson, Secretary – Mrs. Patterson is a long-time member of the GMS and Cherokee County School District family. The guidance office would be incomplete without her. She does so much for the students and staff at GMS, and her hard work is much appreciated.
Mrs. Emmons, School Counselor-This is Mrs. Emmons’ 1st year as a school counselor. Before becoming a school counselor, Mrs. Emmons was an elementary school teacher. She is very excited to be a member of the Gaffney Middle School family, and is looking forward to a wonderful and productive school year.
Mrs. Sprouse, Career Development Facilitator-This is Mrs. Sprouse’s 4th year at GMS, but she has been a part of the Cherokee County School District for many years. As the Career Development Facilitator, Mrs. Sprouse is looking forward to introducing students to a variety of careers and opportunities that enhance their understanding of the relationships between school and future success.
Ms. Allen, School Counselor-Ms. Allen is the newest member of the guidance department staff at GMS. This is her 1st year as a school counselor. Before coming to GMS, Ms. Allen worked with at-risk students at an alternative school setting in North Carolina. She is excited to finally be working as a school counselor. She is looking forward to building relationships with the students and staff here at GMS.
