Discipline and Dress Code
Grassy Pond Elementary follows district policy for discipline and appropriate dress.
Transportation
Arrival: Students who come to school in cars should be dropped off in the front of the building at the door closest to the gym. Buses only use the back entrance.
Dismissal: Parents who pick students up, should use the front driveway. Students in grades K-2 will be dismissed from the door closest to the gym. Students in grades 3-5 will be dismissed from the front door nearest the office. Bus and van students only will use the rear doors.
No cars should be in the back driveway or parking area at dismissal time.
School Closing Due to Weather
If weather conditions become hazardous, the closing of school will be announced over radio stations,and WSPA-TV. You may also call 902-3621.
School Visitation
Parents are welcome to visit and volunteer at Grassy Pond Elementary. Please come by the office first to sign in and get a visitor's sticker.
Media Center Materials
The school media center encourages students to use library resources for reference and pleasure.
Books may be checked out for a period of one week with renewal for an additional week if desired. There are no fines for overdue books, but parents are responsible for lost or damaged books.
