Special Olympics

Mrs. Cathy Parker’s class enjoyed fun, games, food and competition on Thursday, May 2nd at the Cherokee County Special Olympics.   All the students in her class received ribbons that they displayed with pride.  We are so proud of these students!

Yearbooks

Yearbook signing day will be Monday, May 27th.  We still have a few yearbooks left to sell so if you are interested in purchasing one, the cost is $ 15.00.  These will be sold on a first come, first serve basis.

Library Notes

All library books are due by May 17th.  Please return your books on time.  If books are damaged or lost, please bring $ 15.00 per book to cover the replacement cost.

Title I - Annual Review and Planning Meeting

Cherokee County School District Office

On Tuesday, May 14th, the  PTO will be hosting a delicious hotdog supper and bake sale as a fundraiser for the Odyssey of the Mind Team’s trip to World Finals in Michigan, May 21-26. Following the meal there will be a brief PTO meeting and then a Line Dance Program.  Adult plates will be $5.00 and children’s plates will be $3.00. The meal will include a hotdog with chili and slaw, baked beans, chips and a beverage.  All proceeds for the meal and bake sale will help support our Odyssey Team on their trip. Please make plans to come out and support our Grizzlies and enjoy the program.

Meal: 5:15 pm – 6:15 pm

PTO Meeting: 6:15 pm

Line Dance Program: 6:30 pm

Character Celebration

Students in 3K -5K that received the Exemplary Character Award will attend the 4th Quarter Character Celebration on May 13th.   Please be sure that your child wears tennis shoes and clothes that they can play in because they will be outside for this event.

Students that received the Exemplary Character Award in Grades 1 thru 5 will attend the 4th Quarter Character Celebration on May 24th.  These students will be going skating and then to the Boys & Girls Club.  If your student is in the 3rd, 4th, or 5th grade and they are attending the celebration, please send them a towel to sit on for lunch.  If your child wishes to buy snacks at the skating rink or the Boys & Girls club, they will need to bring money.  If your student has their own skates that they would like to bring, they can, but all students attending need to remember to bring socks.

Field Day

3K-5K Field Day will be held on May 14th at 8:30 a.m.   Please remember to wear tennis shoes, and students will need to bring a towel to sit on during the event.  Snacks will be sold during field day so please bring money.
