The second grade students of Limestone-Central have been studying the five classifications of vertebrates in science. As a result, these classes went to the Greenville Zoo on Wed. April, 25th as an extension of this science unit. While we were at the zoo, the students were able to attend a class on the classification of vertebrates and saw examples of birds, snakes, and mammals.   The students enjoyed seeing the different animals in the zoo.  The lions and the gorillas were a special favorite.  This shared experience will add to the student’s knowledge as we continue studying vertebrates.
